COMMUNITY MINISTRIES

We seek to meet the physical needs of the Bloomfield community through our food pantry.  Please call 243-5208 for the current distribution schedule.  On the fourth Sunday of each month we also assist the Faith SDA Church in their soup kitchen at 500 Woodland Street, Hartford,  from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

SABBATH SCHOOL

The Sabbath School focuses on age-appropriate small group Bible study from toddlers to adults.  It also takes special interest in developing fellowship, community outreach, and supporting foreign mission activities.

YOUTH MINISTRIES

We have several programs to keep young minds engaged, productive and in touch with God.

Little Lambs:  From 4-5 years of age
This program follows a course of study for youngsters to learn more about themselves and God.

Eager Beaver Club Program:  From 5-6 years
We realize that tender hearts of the young need nurturing.  The program helps youngsters learn more about themselves and their community.  We tell the children about God and show them that God is for every day. They are taught to be kind in what they do and say. They are encouraged to treat other people‘s things as if they were their own.

Adventurer Club Program:  From 6-9 years of age
In this program, children are taught to develop skills to help themselves survive in nature as well as in the world. They learn about America’s history and their connection with their Lord Jesus. They are taught to help others and family members without being asked.

Pathfinder Club Program:  From 10 years of age to adult
In this club youngsters are taught about the importance of the Bible. They are taught about the balance between the spiritual and the secular world. They are educated to improve the conditions of others and take care of people, plants and animals.

Adventist Youth Society:
Here they are taught involvement by participation. Adolescents will excel in discussion forums that allow for an open exchange of opinions regarding issues of interest from age 4 through adulthood.  This society exists to promote understanding and opportunity. The AYS seeks to improve social conditions by knowledge, awareness and dialogue.  The goals of the AYS are to teach, train and empower young people; to help them build a personal relationship with God; and to mobilze them to share this experience with others.
